• "strong DP" = more than 10 % more than the RP
• "weak DP" = more than 7 % more than the RP
• "barely DP" = more than 3 % more than the RP
• "too close to call" = means less than 3% more for the DP and less than 3% more for the RP => SWING STATE
• "barely RP" = more than 3 % more than the DP
• "weak RP" = more than 7 % more than the DP
• "strong RP" = more than 10 % more than the DP
So called "swing states" ("too close to decide") are those states where the difference between the to big parties (DP/RP) is less than 3%.
